Interview with Hale Walcoff by Ripstop by the Roll

In 2020 Challenge Sailcloth launched a new program called Challenge Outdoor, led by Managing Director Hale Walcoff. A sailing World Champion and veteran of technical textiles, Hale’s had a major influence in the adoption of laminates by the outdoor industry.

Hale always had a vision for more eco-friendly laminates using recycled and non-toxic components. Taking this vision from concept to reality required years of R&D and significant investment.

This week, Hale was invited onto the Ripstop by the Roll podcast to tell his story and explain the innovations behind ECOPAK technology.
